A Message from the Principal

Welcome to the Loveland Hill School webpage!

Loveland Hill School is a small therapeutic K – 8 school.  Our classes have a low student to teacher ratio which allows for students to receive individualized instruction.  We are a structured and supportive environment where students are encouraged to be successful academically and socially.  Incentives are used schoolwide to promote a positive learning environment. Please check back often as we continue to update our webpage. Feel free to contact me directly if  I can answer a question for you or provide additional information.

 Thank you,

Core Values of Loveland Hill School:

Be Safe
Students are expected to behave in a safe manner.  The following behaviors are never acceptable:  physical contact, swearing, fighting, and threatening.
Be Respectful
Students are expected to respect adults and classmates.  They should be courteous to others through their actions and the use of kind and considerate language.  Students are also expected to demonstrate respect in the use of materials, whether it be their own or that of others.
Be Responsible
Students are expected to take responsibility for their schoolwork, as well as their actions. All students have a responsibility to make Loveland Hill School a great place to learn for everyone. Students should take pride in their school and treat everyone the way they want to be treated.
Be Positive
Students should enter the building every morning positively and willing to learn. Students are encouraged to complement their peers often, and to make all of the classmates feel good about themselves.

Purpose:  The purpose of the Loveland Hill is to provide a safe and secure, respectful, and supportive learning environment for every student.

Loveland Hill School is continuing with the implementation of a behavioral framework known as Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI).   Under this system, teachers and staff members will help students make connections between their feelings, behavior and consequences.  Students will be taught how to replace undesirable behaviors with appropriate behaviors.  Students will be rewarded and recognized for good behavior with the hope that this type of positive recognition will help students continue the desired behavior. School the staff will be working hard to teach all students the proper way to behave in all school settings.
